Academic Quality

We’re committed to ensuring every student in Camden has access to a high-quality, rigorous education. Every child—regardless of race, background, income, immigration status, or learning differences—deserves the opportunity to thrive in school. We represent students from all types of schools, including district, renaissance, and charter schools. To support our vision, we provide grant opportunities to programs that help make educational equity a reality across the city.

Instructional Quality Grants

CEF supports programs and coaching that help educators enhance their teaching through targeted professional development. Last year, we facilitated math instructional coaching for over 30 teachers and leaders from local schools. We are exploring ways to expand this program to more schools in the upcoming year.

Camden STEM Showcase

Launched in 2025, the Camden Citywide STEM Showcase is a dynamic celebration of Camden’s student innovation in science, technology, engineering, and math. Open to students from district, renaissance, and charter schools across all grade levels, the showcase features hands-on projects, interactive demonstrations, and opportunities to explore future STEM careers. This first-of-its-kind event brought together approximately 200 students from over 20 local schools, spotlighting Camden’s emerging STEM talent and reinforcing a citywide commitment to STEM education.

We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the murder of George Floyd at the hands of police officers in Minneapolis. George’s story is the story of too many Black Americans – Ahmaud Arbery, Breona Taylor, Trayvon Martin, and so many more, named and unnamed by the media— brutally and senselessly killed.

This loss of Black life and our persistent failure to bring those responsible to account expose the most grotesque, painful truth about our nation: the enduring legacy of white supremacy.

We will not heal until things change.

Camden Education Fund stands in solidarity with the Black community.

We remain deeply committed to bringing resources to support our public schools and the extraordinary youth-serving organizations in Camden, as we believe these are the institutions with the greatest potential to show our children, daily, that their lives and dreams matter.

The reality is that all organizations – ours included – have so much more work to do. We will hold ourselves accountable to building an organization that advances equity, promotes understanding, and dismantles racist structures.
