CAMDEN EDUCATION FUND AWARDS $430,000 IN GRANTS TO LOCAL NONPROFITS SERVING YOUTH

Camden Education Fund will present a check of $430,000 to local nonprofits through its Youth-Serving Organization (YSO) competitive grant program on Wednesday, July 26 at 3:30 p.m. Now in its third year, the YSO program provides operational and program funding to Camden-led nonprofit organizations serving youth aged 3-18.

The organizations offer a wide range of supports to students including mentoring, mental health supports, opportunities in the arts, career exposure, and summer enrichment.

“We are thrilled to provide dedicated funding and support to youth-serving organizations that create opportunities for students to develop their interests, explore their passions, and build positive relationships,” said Giana Campbell, the executive director of the Camden Education Fund. “By investing in these organizations, we are also investing in our youth and their success inside and outside of the classroom, which is more important than ever.”

“Camden Education Fund is a strong supporter of organizations that go above and beyond to serve our youth and make an impact in our community. I am extremely grateful for their generosity and partnership. I congratulate all the grantees and thank them for their consistency and commitment to our youth” said Vic Carstarphen, Mayor, City of Camden.
