TapInto Camden: Camden Education Fund Offering Grants to Youth Groups

CAMDEN, NJ – The Camden Education Fund has launched its 2022 Youth-Serving Organization (YSO) Grant Program to provide funding to outstanding, Camden-led nonprofits that offer support services to students outside of the classroom, including mentoring, mental health services, academic tutoring, and opportunities in the arts.

Up to 15 organizations will be awarded $5,000; up to 5 organizations will be awarded $25,000; and up to 5 organizations will be awarded $40,000.  Eligible organizations are Camden City-based nonprofit organizations that serve youngsters ages 3 to 18.

“Camden Education Fund was honored to partner with youth-serving organizations last year, and we are excited to expand our support for these important organizations this year,” said Camden Education Fund Board Member Jose Brito.

“Our schools do a lot, but they cannot do it alone.  Supporting the whole child takes a village, and this grant program allows us to support and grow that village,” Brito said.

Organizations may use YSO grants for operational costs and programs. Applications are due March 29.  Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis. Organizations can apply at: www.camdenedfund.org/yso
